Совершая попытку апгрейдить сайт до J1.7 (в настоящий момент сайт работает на Joomla 1.5, попытка была сугубо тестовая, так как не планирую обновлять Joomla вплоть до появления версии с долгосрочной поддержкой), наткнулся на следующую интересную особенность; ссылки на форуме меняются следующим образом:

BTW: In your case you haven't removed category IDs from your Kunena configuration, so this URL should keep on working, even if it has changed. Kunena 1.7 also uses canonical URLs, which means that these old URLs will be converted to new ones when Google goes through your site.
So this category mapping is really only issue IF you have changed your Kunena configuration not to use category IDs in your URLs. Am I right?

Our component keeps the ids of all items (including categories) the same except with the one with id=1.
If understand correctly from the forum that is the problem. Now the only thing that could break urls are the alias.
In joomla 1.7 there is a rule that do not allow same alias under same parent. This case occur for items with same titles. That means of you do not have articles with same name under same category the urls should be kept the same.
